We had an amazing time at Lanna Elephant Sanctuary! We enjoyed a delicious pad Thai lunch while watching the elephants roam freely, then got to feed them bananas, walk alongside them, make a special snack to aid their digestion, feed that to them, and even bathe one of the elephants.

You can truly tell the elephants are happy and well cared for — the whole experience was so wholesome and heartwarming. :)

Wholesome day with elephants!

This is the most amazing and magical place to spend time with elephants. This place is a sanctuary and you can tell the elephants are happy and being treated well. I did not see any chains or anything to hurt the animals. 
We were picked up in a nice comfortable van and driven to the sanctuary (a little over an hour). We then changed into clothing given to us by the guides. It’s a shirt, pants and croc like shoes so that when we get dirty it doesn’t matter. We had a short lesson about what to do and what not to do and were given info about each of the 5 elephants. 
We then got to take lots of pics, feed them, bathe them, make them vitamin balls out of bananas/rice and more. We also got to eat delicious pad Thai after. It was such a fun and educating experience. Our guide Koin was super knowledgeable and easygoing and pleasant. 
A real 10/10 experience!

Great day. The staff were great and we were informed about everything elephant. We got to feed the elephants sugarcane and help to make food for them. Then we walked with them down to the river, where  we were able to help bath them. The baby elephant was very cheeky. He kept everyone amused. 
The thing we liked most about this sanctuary was that it was not commercial at all. Just staffed by people who love elephants and want to give them a safe place to live out their lives.

This is about as authentic as I could imagine.  Ethical treatment of rescued elephants.  You can feed them and touch them and even bathe them.  We made a vitamin ball to give them.  It was so great - there were 3 of us. Ages 10, 47 and 73.  All 3 of us loved our time here.  They even give you a nice lunch.  Highly highly recommend.  The setting is truly Thai wilderness too.

Amazing ethical family trip to this great rescue!

Had the most amazing day with the elephants thanks to Lanna Kingdom staff, especially our tour guide Gorn. We had the pleasure of the full day small group tour which included up close interactions with the elephants, feeding bananas, and spraying them with water. The staff were amazing and so professional including picking us up from our hotel in Chiang Mai and driving us in an van to the sanctuary. Lunch was also amazing and consisted of fresh fruit, rice crackers, water and homemade vegetarian pad Thai.
All the elephants at this sanctuary were rescued and it was absolutely evident they are well taken care of, happy, and not pressured in any way to interact with guests. We loved learning about their unique personalities and behaviours. Overall I would recommend Lanna Kingdom to anyone wanting an up close, intimate interaction with these beautiful animals.

The guides were so kind and nice! The whole place was just for us. The elephants were super calm and friendly, even tho its a new sanctuary EVERYTHING WAS incredible 

This is well kept sanctuary where you interact with the elephants but feel very safe. You can bath the elephants, feed them, and watch them in their natural environment. The guide tells you about the elephants and how friendly each of them are with human activity. 

We had an absolutely brilliant experience at Lanna from start to finish.  We were the only people at the sanctuary as it was quiet during Songkran so had the place to ourselves with the Elephants! Gon and the team were fantastic hosts throughout, super friendly and helpful.  Bathing (and a small Songkran waterfight) with the Elephant was a once in a lifetime experience!   Lanna is a lovely sanctuary, the rescued Elephants are treated like royalty and getting up close with them was amazing.  Brilliant day!

My partner and I had a wonderful experience at Lanna Kingdom Elephant Sanctuary. We could tell that the elephants were treated with love and care with an abundant amount of land to roam. Our guide and the sanctuary keepers were very knowledgeable and provided a very unique experience for my partner and I. We interacted and fed the elephants bananas (their favorite treat), made vitamins for them (and also feeding them to the elephants), as well as bathing an elephant. The sanctuary even provided us some scrumptious pad thai and desserts after our experience. 

Each elephants came from a difficult past but have found peace at this sanctuary. I hope that there is more awareness brought to this sanctuary and their devotion to their elephants. I learned that the only way elephants can be rescued is if the sanctuary can afford to buy them from captivity, so please, if anyone visits, I implore you to shed a bit of generosity and donate what you can (whether monetarily or via 5-star reviews) so that this sanctuary can continue doing what they do best for more rescued elephants. 

Such a great experience to spend some quality time with the Elephants. Lovely to see that they were free to roam as they wanted. Really felt part of the family for the day. Our guide Korn was  very friendly and informative. It was a privilege.
